In the last week of winter break, Darylle and I decided to take a stroll through Ambleside Park as well as find a suitable bench for our English assignment; it was a gorgeous sunny day and the ocean looked absolutely amazing as always. After we were finished taking our stroll, we started looking for benches; we read the inscription plates on almost all of then; it was hard to pick the best one, however, I came across this plate inscribed with “follow your dreams” and all of a sudden, I just stopped considering the present; this plate sounded quite true about my personality and surprisingly has been favorite quote for years; thus, I picked the bench with no doubts. My chosen bench looked like almost any other bench in the park, however, there were minor differences that would only be recognized by one who actually paid close attention to it; for instance, there were tiny bumps and dents all over it; so tiny that one would have to squint to be able to notice it. Moreover, the color of the bench that was once a shiny brown had faded into a pale light brown which proved that the bench had been through some difficult times such as under rain, forceful wind, heavy snow, and possibly storms. Despite all of this, the bench still looked perfect and calm from afar and the inscription plate on it suggested the fact that maybe the bench had lost its shiny color and recentness through following its dreams.
